Partitions

Partitions and other physical barriers (e.g., rolling whiteboard) can provide a barrier to help with physically stopping the spread of germs when people are directly facing each other. There should be no employees directly facing one another unless there is some type of partition in place. Dependent on the typical use of the workstation, the partition should cover the entire face of the employee in their usual configuration.

Plexiglass or other barriers should be anchored to the desks not suspended from ceilings and maintain at least 2′ from the ceiling. If it needs to be anchored to the floor it can’t block or protrude into exit paths or openings.
